The Holy Beasts are the central B-Daman and a major plot device appearing in the anime series B-Daman Fireblast.
History[]
Long ago, the Ultimate Holy Beasts, the Phoenix and the Kirin sealed their spirits into vessels for the battle to come for the fate of Crestland. They indeed fought, in the first game of B-Daman ever played in Crest Land, where the Phoenix had triumphed and the Kirin and its priests became embittered at this defeat.
Centuries later, Right Drake, one of the component B-Damans of the Kirin, Triple Gillusion, was found by Himiko Day and given to her middle-born son, Roma. The other B-Daman, Left Stallion, was discovered in a cave by Genya Ankokuji, who worked for the prominent Shiranui Corporation. Knowing of the ancient legends, seeking to gain power and riches (by selling dangerous Core System weapons for profit), and being a descendant of the Kirin's priests, Genya gives Left Stallion to Roma, resurrecting Triple Gillusion, which then took control of his mind. As for Spike Phoenix, it laid dormant in a casket on Phoenix Battle Island, which would rise up from the depths of the sea.
Trivia[]
- The Holy Beasts are based on the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations.
- This is similar to the Beyblade series, another Takara Tomy toyline and anime that used this motif, and Gaist Crusher, an all-aged rated game by Capcom.
- The Holy Beasts are essentially the equivalent to the Legendary Dragons of B-Daman Crossfire.
- Additionally, Rising Dracyan is the only member to also be a Legendary Dragon in the form of Thunder Dracyan.
- In the toyline, the Holy Beasts are distinguished by their clear parts which fit on Spike Phoenix to create its Super Fusion: Ultimate Phoenix.
- Although Triple Gillusion does not fit this, it is still considered a Holy Beast.
